So I usually start out with dirty hair because when I try to actually make it wavy on clean hair, it doesn't really stay! Second day hair with Dry Shampoo is my go to!
I have been loving the OGX Biotin & Collagen Dry Shampoo! Everything linkable will be stoppable at the very end!
I start by using the dry shampoo around the crown of my head and my part line.
I separate my hair because doing this hairstyle is best when you do it in sections! I then brush my hair because I also like to do it when it's smooth to get it nicer if that makes sense.
I use a 1 inch old school Conair and I love it. This curling iron is super affordable and works well!
What works best for me is to curl my hair facing against my face. I like the way it looks the best, and it just frames the face! I also take the iron and flip my hair around the barrel once and then kind of just pump it down and go straight down the ends so that way it's a little more straight at the bottom. I don't really worry about the bottom section of my hair near as much because usually it gets covered anyway, and I really don't want to burn myself lol!
So this isn't super complicated, I just go through the motions of my whole head. Once I've finished curling all my hair, I let it set and cool for a couple minutes to make sure I get the most of the curls which will turn into waves. I then will spray hair spray on my hair to also help with holding the waves.
I use L'Oreal Lock It spray, and it's not super crunchy and it works for me! Once my hair has cooled, and I spray this I will take my fingers and gently comb through my hair. I only use my fingers and not a comb because I find that completely takes away the waves and that's just not really what I go for. The curls do drop to waves, but I like how it looks and I find messing with it too much will definitely ruin the look.
That's basically it! It's harder to comprehend through blog post but I figured I would try to explain anyway. It's not super hard, and I really love this hairstyle with the length of hair I have right now. I have also done this with a straightener too! It really just depends on what I'm going for!
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll talk to you guys soon!
XOXO,
Kianna
