Hey hey beauties! So today I wanted to share with you guys how I edit my Instagram photos because I get asked almost daily. Photography has been something I have loved since middle school. I absolutely love to create content, and use my creative side. Since I started taking Instagram seriously earlier this year, I switched my editing from VSCO Cam to Lightroom. I loved VSCO, and it really did have great filters you could use, but I just felt like I wanted more control over colors, and more variation over the editing totally so Lightroom is where it's at. I love that with Lightroom you can do anything you want with the colors depending on your liking. Lightroom is so versatile, and there are so many different editing styles. I feel like I've tried them all...lol. I get bored easily, and especially depending on the seasons, things look better with different seasons. So, first off, if you're wanting to take your feed to the next level, I highly recommend Lightroom. I started out using the desktop version before people were using mainly mobile. I used it for photoshoots, and then finally started using mobile mostly. It's just way easier if you take a lot of photos on your phone. I do. If you want Lightroom on your computer, there's an option to have it for $10/month along with Photoshop...which is amazing! I'm not skilled enough for Photoshop though haha. I loovvveee the simplicity of Lightroom. Not every photo is a one-click, but still, it's great. The mobile version is completely free though! You'll either have to make up your own preset, or purchase some. My faves are Tezza's (@tezzamb), Jaci Marie Presets (@jacimariesmith), Marina's Dream Preset (@marinamcavoy) and Dreamy Presets (@dreamypresets) I have purchased some other ones on Etsy too that are pretty good! Just search around on Instagram or Etsy and I have no doubt you'll be able to find some good ones. As creating and playing around with edits, I have created some of my own as well. They are on my shop on Etsy. It's just Slayyy Babe Presets. I was using my Blue Jeanss Preset and I really loved it! It made my photos look really cool toned, and I just was in love with it. Then one day I put one of Jaci's presets on a new set of photos I took, and was in love with it all over again for the fall. So, here we are again. HA. My feed looks weird right now because between the two presets, they are so different. I just felt like JaciMarieFaded looks perfect for the fall time, over Blue Jeanss. So, I took JaciMarieFaded and turned down the warmth, added more clarity (quite a bit actually), turned up the Noise Reduction (smoothes your skin oh so well lolll) and that's about it for that!
If I want the photo to be more crisp, I use the app Pic Tap Go on my phone. There is a filter called 'Crispity' and it makes your photos pop. I use it about half way, and that's it. That's how I edit my photos. It's not overly complicated. I am doing bare minimum for now, and I like it!
Here are some B&A's of the preset I'm using now!
These are both one clicks! Jaci Marie Smith is so talented, and highly recommend her presets! Well, that's how I edit! I hope this helped! XOXO
