A Girl's Guide To Staying Happy During The Winter

Hey ladies!! Welcome back. Happy holidays to you all. I can't believe today is the actual first day of Winter, and Christmas is in just a few days. Time really has flown by this year, and I've learned SO much. Which...I'm curating a blog post about that, so stay tuned. In this one I wanted to put together a little guide for all my ladies who seem to have a little seasonal depression/winter blues. I totally know this feeling & honestly it SUCKS! I am one who can't stay 90 degrees but I can't stand that dreary, dark days with 45 and below. Those days can seem to put you in a mood. I have been testing out these to see if they have helped, and I can honestly say what I've tried, seems to work! Here we go!

-Make time for yourself. Whether it's shopping alone, a spa night at home, getting your hair done etc. It's important to take care of yourself, especially in the winter. Self care is super critical for your mental health.

-Surround yourself with your loved ones. Sometimes, being alone isn't best and being around people can lift your spirits. I know for me personally, sometimes I have spent too much time alone, that I need to be around friends and it definitely helps even if you're not doing anything, do nothing together.

-Take a vitamin D supplement. I read this somewhere. Apparently it helps because when you're out in the sun, you're getting natural Vitamin D.

-Go find the sun. If it's sunny, go outside for at least 10 minutes. Take in the sunshine, it's good for you!

-Start a project! Whether that's a home DIY project, or decluttering some part of your home. It helps to stay busy and be productive because then you're not sitting around moping

-Exercise. Go walking, running, or to the gym. It's a no brainer than exercising on the regular is good for you, but it also released endorphins in your body which always help you feel good.

-Open your curtains. Let some sun in, and wake up early!

-Go on a vacay if you can. Of course vacations cure the blues.

& that's all I've got for now. I hope this helps you. Like I said, I've dealt with this personally and the tips I have tried, do work and help. Together, we can get through this winter! Happy Holidays, and talk to you v soon
