5 Habits To Start in 2019

Hey everyone, long time no talk! Today I am here to talk about 5 habits you can pick up this year. I have been practicing these habits daily, and I can honestly say they are making such a positive impact. I think it's always great to have new habits you're forming in your daily routine to keep your life flowing much easier, and better! Let's get to it!

-Go to bed with a clean kitchen-

This one is probably my favorite habit so far. I am honestly terrible at keeping our tiny kitchen clean. We don't have a dishwasher (sigh), and the kitchen is so small, so the tiniest clutter and dishes make it seem way worse. One thing that automatically sets my day, is my space. If I have a messy space first thing in the morning, it puts me in a bad mood. I was waking up in the morning, and walking into my dirty kitchen first thing. That is not good. First off, I pretty much had to wash dishes before I could make breakfast. Second, I just don't do well with a dirty space. Dirty kitchens give me major anxiety. After dealing with this lazy girl problem for so long, I decided to make a change. Why not do the dishes after dinner, and wake up to a spotless kitchen?! Now, there may be some of you thinking no duh lady, I do this daily...and if you truly do, kudos to you! For real. I never have until now. It seriously makes the biggest difference. Plus, I like to think if I see dishes in the sink and I don't do them then and there, the size of the current dishes will multiply and it will only take way longer to do them.

                             -Wake up an hour earlier-

There is no specific reason why I decided to start doing this, but I love it. Years back, I transitioned into a "morning person". One would call me crazy for enjoying the morning, but I do. I love it so much. I work from home, so if you don't I get why you wouldn't...but hear me out. Whenever I wake up earlier, I have more time to actually do the things I want to do. If I want to do my hair and makeup for the day, I have time and I don't need to rush. Side note: I also hate putting on makeup mid day because hello waste of beautiful goodness. LOL. Most mornings, I get to make my coffee and I have my 'me time' before I start my day on social media and doing house chores. It is so peaceful, and I won't give it up. Plus in the winter, you get more day light this way. What if that extra hour for you meant you could scroll the gram and eat breakfast in peace and quiet before your kids are up, or maybe it is your time to put on makeup or do your hair. Self care is important for your being, so take advantage.

-Do the most important thing first-

Don't you hate when you know you have something really important to do for the day, and you don't get around to it until late...and then it's just like wtf ever, and you half @ss it??? Yeah, i've been there.  A good habit to start is to do that thing first thing!! Right after your 'me time' of course ;) If you get it out of  the way first, you'll have a major weight off your shoulder and the rest of your day will be smooth sailing. Trust me. Don't wait.

                        -Practice Daily Positive Affirmations-

This is so huge! If you've never heard of Law of Attraction, look it up! Basically what this law states; is that whatever you put out there into the 'universe' is what you attract into your life. So if you are constantly saying "I can't do this, They won't hire me, I'm not good enough" etc, then that is exactly what you're going to get my darling. It sounds a little phony I know, but it works. But also don't think that saying "I'm going to get a million bucks tomorrow" is going to happen either. That sounds pretty awesome, but not likely. Anyway, by practicing these positive affirmations daily you will begin to start to truly believe what you're saying, and your vibes that you put out there control your actions, and your life will begin to change...for the better! Just watch. Have you ever noticed when you've been negative that you didn't end up getting anything out of it??? See...it truly does work. Let's be more positive this year. WE CAN DO IT, THEY WILL HIRE ME, I AM GOOD ENOUGH.

-Unplug at least once a week-

Get off that dang phone or computer. Really. It is so refreshing to take 24 hours off to breathe, and spend quality time with your loved ones. Since my main stream of income is from Instagram, I am on it what seems to be 24 hours a day, and man it gets exhausting. Whenever I am feeling a creative block or just plain tired, I rest. I put my phone down, shut off my computer screen and walk away. 9/10 I come back inspired, and ready to roll. This day and age, everyone and their mama's mama is on social media, and as awesome is that is...it's truly great to be old fashioned every now and again and talk face to face. I truly believe it is important and healthy to do this often. Especially if you work online.

Well, those are the cool new habits I'm trying out...so far so good. I hope that you will try some of these out too, and if you have any habits you're trying out please let me know! Talk to you all soon!
