Life Update: I'm Pregnant!

Hey guys!! Long time no talk! I can explain...I moved states and I'M PREGNANT! I wanted to write this post up to share more in detail of what I've truly been up to, and how I found out I'm preggers!

So at the beginning of the year, my husband and I decided we were going to move to Missouri. I'm from Missouri, and most of my family is there. We had been in Alabama for two years, and none of Alex's family was there and it was just getting hard for obvious reasons of not having family around. Holiday's were super hard, and as crazy as it was for me to come to the conclusion to move back to a place I had been all my life, we decided it was best. So over the course of a few months, we figured out the moving details and moved from Alabama to Missouri on May 12th. We had some crazy issues with our apartment complex and dates of move in so long story short- we ended up staying in a hotel for 10 days including two days in Alabama because we had to be moved out of our house. It was just crazy, and honestly annoying lol. Fortunately, May 20th we were able to move in to our new place-which we love! It is so much more my style and aesthetically pleasing to the eye than our last haha! I have had fun decorating it so far. We still have our bedroom to fill up, so hopefully soon we find a good bedroom set we love. So that's what we've been doing according to the public ;) I also did have a few job interviews the first week I was back, and got a job offer within a few days of being back so that's so exciting! I am so excited to get back to work, and get out of the house.

So what you didn't know until today is that we are expecting our first child this December right around Christmas! I still can't believe this is real because of I've dreamed of this for my whole life basically. If you've been following my Instagram for a while you know I have mentioned I have PCOS, and that was a big big worry for me. I have always wanted children. I knew with PCOS comes possible infertility because your hormones can affect your fertility and your ability to ovulate...and even if you do become pregnant, chances of miscarriage are a little bit higher. So, for me personally, I have always had irregular menstrual cycles, and I honestly don't think I was ovulating. Whenever I put myself on Keto, I lost that weight, and it regulated my cycles within months of eating that way. My husband and I honestly hadn't prevented anything since we got married because we knew the probability of us conceiving wasn't too high. Well, we had finally decided let's "TRY" because we don't know how long this is going to take. Well, a week later I was pregnant lol! It was such a weird thing, and honestly was meant to be. We were about to move, and have more opportunities of life, and were going to be close to family. I honestly think Keto is what helped me get pregnant, and without it, pharmaceutical drugs would've been our next option. But nope, God showed up in the most incredible way. All those months that I was so strict, and said nope I can't eat that or drink that paid off. I couldn't be more excited to meet this baby in 6 months.

How did I find out?? Nothing like you see in the movies lol. After that conversation my husband and I had about actually "trying" I purchased the Easy At Home Ovulation & Pregnancy Tests from Amazon, and got them a couple days later. The day I received them, I happened to be fertile I suppose lol. You all know how babies are made, so we won't go into detail there. But, about 8 days later, I just randomly decided to test when Alex had left. I have taken pregnancy tests multiple times in the past because I had all these 'symptoms' but was never pregnant, and never saw even the faintest shadow of a line. Well, 3 minutes later, I went back to the bathroom...and looked at the test and was like NO WAY...there was the fainest fainest line. I was in disbelief. Because of this long journey of not knowing, I knew all about pregnancy and tests and all that. I knew that if there was the faintest line, you are pregnant. Just really early. I had planned to tell Alex in this cute way, but nope. My impatient self called him as he's driving an hour away and told him...lol who does that?! He was so excited! Every single day I watched the tests get darker and darker just to make sure everything was good. I ended up taking about 20 tests up until I was 6 weeks because I'm a freak hahaha.

How am I feeling? I feel good! I have been so blessed and not have been sick at all really. In like the end of week five, early 6 I pretty much didn't like the sound of almost all foods even though I was starting to gain such a huge appetite. It was pretty weird lol...pregnancy is weird. I was only nauseous a small handful of times in those weeks, but by the time I had my first appointment at 7.5 weeks, I was just fine! So I'm not sick, just exhausted most of the time. That's why I haven't been posting any cool Instagram content lately. I was telling you guys that I was moving and settling in and preparing for my new job. Which, that is all true but I am also pregnant, and that is so exhausting by itself. So yeah, I'm about done with this first trimester, and hopefully my energy will return soon! So I think that is all I can think of to tell you right now. I hope you guys will stick around with me for this journey. We are just so excited!
